The congregation of St. John's United Church of Christ, 68 Park Avenue East, will honor the Rev. Marcus S. Buehrer on Sunday on the 35th anniversary of his ordination.
His sermon will be "Sin - Christ - Grace?" Stephen McLain will provide music.
The worship service will begin at 9:30 a.m., followed by a brunch in the parish hall. All fathers there will be honored on Father's Day.
Buehrer was ordained June 15, 1958, at St. John's United Church of Christ in Archbold, his home church. He has a master's degree from Heidelberg College in Tiffin and a master of divinity degree from Eden Theological Seminary in St. Louis, Mo.
He did additional study at Princeton Seminary in New Jersey, Trinity Lutheran Seminary in Columbus, and recently attended Duke Seminary in Durham, N.C.
